“Diego Lavagnino Art Studio” is more than a project; it is the reflection of a myriad of experiences that I seek to immortalize in each work. It has become an internal dialogue between the expectations imposed on how I should live and my own desires for life. This creative journey has taken me through various scenarios, allowing me to understand the eternal struggle between what is labeled as “good” and “bad.”

My gratitude extends to the divine and to those whose experiences have taught me the relative nature of our existence. I deeply appreciate sacred and public spaces, such as churches and parks, where souls express themselves freely and authentically. This journey has been a spiritual revelation, a process of liberation from prejudices and social norms that dictate what is “right” and what is “wrong.” I have discovered that, like art, morality is subjective and does not admit generalizations; everything depends on the individual perspective. On the streets, I observe many people hiding their pain behind a mask of joy, pretending to be the only defense against the adversities of the world, but in reality, that is the true agony.

I conclude with a reflection: life is ephemeral and does not deserve to be wasted in the vain attempt to please society. In the end, society does not provide us with happiness, well-being or peace; we find those treasures within ourselves. Therefore, the only thing left for us is to live authentically and fight for our dreams.”
